He is survived by: his wife Melba Redden (Morris); his children, Melissa Llewellyn (Tim) and Jeff Redden (Felicia); his grandchildren, Zack Smith and Taylor Johnson; his great grandchild Chloe Smith (T. Sproull); and his sister Carolyn Alexander (Govan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
