He is survived by: his children, Christy Nelson of Smithville, Missi Musselwhite of Sharpsburg, GA and Michael Nelson of Smithville; his brother Jimmy Wayne Nelson (Debra) of Americus; his brother-in-law Tony Deriso (Gail) of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Corbin Musselwhite, Alex Musselwhite, Abigail Trussel, Madison Bissett and Izabella Bissett; and his great grandchildren, Londyn Swan and Lainey Rae Musselwhite.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
