She was predeceased by: her parents, Dolth Kenton Peak, Sr. and Dorothy Evelyn Peak; her husband William Baston "Bill" Hayes; and her brother Walter Roy Peak (Gail). She is survived by: her stepson William Zachary "Zack" Hayes; her sons, Anthony "Tony" Brown, John Brown, Troy Brown and Robert Mayberry (Bo); her siblings, Cynthia Gail Noel (Gary), Todd Douglas Peak, Sr. (Kim), Dolth Kenton Peak, Jr. (Debra) and Charles Paul Peak; and her friends, Tom Middlebooks (Leslie) and Deb Allen (Floyd). She is also survived by grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
