He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hatcher of Smyrna; his children, Michael Hatcher (Elizabeth) and Mary Beth Carpenter (Dana); his sister Richardean Martin; his grandchildren, Landon Turner (Sarah), Reed Turner, Cullen Turner, Caleb Turner, Chloé Hatcher, Layla Carpenter, Ben Hatcher, Anna Kate Hatcher, Brynlee Turner and Lily Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Hadley and Grady; his nephews, Garett Tachè, John Martin and Andrew Hardage; his niece Katie Hulsey; and his son-in-law Ken Turner (Stephanie).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smyrna First Baptist Church (1275 Church St, Smyrna, GA 30080). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the J. Hatcher's Reception Center (2950 King St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080).
