He is survived by: his wife Sondra Walea Blissett; his daughter Kimberly Blissett Gatch (Louis); his grandchildren, Harrison Chandler Gatch (Rachel), Abigaile Katelyn Gatch and Langston Chase Gatch (Erin Ivey); his great grandchild Oliver Evander Gatch; his nephew James Everett Walea, Jr.; his niece Kristi Walea Miller (Patrick); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jayden Claire Walea, Saige Evan Walea, Briar Everett Miller and Reed Walea Miller.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel (2950 King St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
