He is survived by : his wife Shirley Smith Hicks; his daughter Leah Hicks McDaniel; his grandchildren, Amanda Caroline McDaniel and Tyler James McDaniel; his brother Robert Lee Hicks; his sister-in-law Gloria Landrum Hicks; his niece Angela Hicks Huskey; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bonnie and Cash Huskey; and his pet Ty.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carmichael Funeral Home Reception Center - Smyrna (2950 King St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080).
