With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John A. Miles of Smyrna, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his children, Priscilla Lawhon (Walter) of Douglasville, GA, Patricia Renee Hilliard of Marietta, GA, Dorcas Fidell (Gene) of Marietta, GA, John Miles, Jr. (Winnie) of Newnan, GA, Bryan Miles (Claudia) of Villa Rica, GA and Gretchen Norman (Scott) of Acworth, GA; and his brother Tim Miles (Claire) of Smyrna, GA. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory (2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA 30064). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
