He was predeceased by: his wife Jerryann Farmer Whiting; his sister Annette Whiting Palmer (Santa Claus); and his parents, Archie B. Whiting and Willie Bertha Wilbanks Whiting. He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Sweatman and Valerie Diaz; his children-in-law, Troy Matthew Sweatman and Ali Lizandro Diaz Calix; his grandchildren, Killian Patrick Ray, Carter Sweatman, Suwanee Lee Diaz Whiting, Hayden Ali Diaz Whiting and Charlotte May Diaz Whiting; and his brother Michael Whiting.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carmichael Funeral Home - Smyrna (2950 King St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
