He is survived by: his children, Jason Merrill (Julie) of Smyrna, David Merrill (Shaindle Minuk) of Toronto, CA and Julia Merrill (Brian Bell) of Atlanta; his brother Gordy Merrill (Peggy) of St. Simons Island; and his grandson Oliver Bell.
