He is survived by: his wife Fran; his sisters, Maija Liepins (Druvvaldis) of Ohio, Velta Torres (Lauro) of Illinois and Liene Kalal (Jim) of Michigan; his cousins, Ivars Lilliensteins (Lillian) of North Carolina and Sallija Smits of Michigan; and his godson Druvis Liepins of Washington. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
