He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie White Freeman and Lawrence Freeman; and his grandson Curt Lynch. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hollis Freeman; his daughters, Patsy Garner (Mack), Elaine Shepard (Eddie), Phyllis Elem and Monteia Haralson (Mark); and his grandchildren, Jona Cardell (Jeremy), Nicholas Lynch (Gina), Lamar Malcom, Jerrell Malcom (Becky), Sharon Jett (Richard), Eli Meeks, Stephanie Brogan and Jared Haralson (Samantha).
