He is survived by: his stepdaughter Carla Mooney (Steve) of Soperton, GA; his brothers, Clinton Matthew Cowart Jr. of Lake Hartwell, GA and James "Jimmy" Cowart of Howe, TX; and his grandson Alex Scott Mooney.
