He was predeceased by: his parents, Vasco Sherrod Phillips and Beulah Moore Phillips; his stepmother Lillian King Phillips; his wife Lois Jean McLain Phillips of Treutlen County; his son Kerry Phillips; his brother Arnold Phillips; and his pets, Bitsy and Rags.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Phillips (Laura) and Ronnie of Soperton; his grandchildren, Brandi Dykes, Brenna Phillips, Chloe Phillips and Jacob Phillips; his great grandchildren, Mason, Madilyn and Abigail Dykes; his close friend Janis Talley; and his pet Speedy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Boiling Springs Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory are encouraged to be made to Morningside Baptist Church, Boiling Springs Baptist Church, or to the charity of one's choice.
