He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thurman "Stud" Edge and Ruby Nell Sweat Edge; his daughter Stephanie Alicia Dixon; and his sister Susan Edge Tillman. He is survived by: his wife Jean Scott Edge of Warner Robins, GA; his children, Tonya Yvette "Toot" Vanek (Jim) of Port Orange, FL, Joel "Scott" Locke (Carrie) of Dublin, GA and Joshua Dale "Josh" Edge of Soperton, GA; his brothers, Mitchell Edge (Susy) of Soperton, GA and Scotty Edge (Amanda) of Bonaire, GA; his grandchildren, Jesse Satterfield, Sierra Satterfield, Donovan Vanek, Riley Cameron (Landon), Nolan Locke, Jason McMillan, Daisy McMillan and Landon Logan; his great grandchildren, Josie Satterfield, Kendall Satterfield, Riley Satterfield, Landon Locks and Carter Satterfield; and his pet Bugsy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sammons Funeral Home (4201 W Main St, Soperton, GA 30457). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Williams Chapel at Sammons Funeral Home (4201 W Main St, Soperton, GA 30457). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zaidee Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
