She was predeceased by : her father George Franklin Mercer; her husband Leion E. Gandy; her siblings, Franklin Mercer, James Austin Mercer, Myrtle Gandy and Edith Spires; and her half-siblings, Lucille Summerford and Buck Murray.
She is survived by : her children, Cindy (Louis Domjan), Pamela (Jimmy Griffin Sr.), Brenda Gandy-Rhodes (Rob Rhodes) and Bruce Gandy of Tifton, Georgia; her grandson Jimmy Griffin, Jr. (Cheryl Griffin); and her great grandchildren, Jared Griffin of St. Charles, Illinois. and Colin Griffin of St. Charles, Illinois..
