He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Barnes and Mary Barnes. He is survived by : his sons, Derrieon Barnes and Tavaaaris M. Young, Sr.; his grandchildren, Armani Stokes, Arinna T. Young and Trvaris M. Young Jr.; his siblings, Mary Pearl Barnes, Glenda Smith, Leroy Barnes, Donald Barnes (Velma) and Marvin Barnes; his aunt Susie Pearl Blount; and his close friend Catrina Haynes (Shirley Ransom). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
