He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hollis and Ruby DeLois Black; his wife Nelda Black; and his son Jeffery Evans Black. He is survived by: his children, Jud Black and Marla Campbell (Eric); his grandchildren, Kaylee and Shane Campbell; his siblings, Nesta Dees, Shirley Simmons (Garnett) and Neal Black (Carolyn); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Ethridge (Curtis), Myrna Metzger (Brandon) and Evans Bevill (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Springfield (1435 GA-119, Springfield, GA 31329). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in memory of Hollis to God's Mission House, c/o First Baptist Church of Springfield, 1435 Hwy. 119 N., Springfield, GA 31329.
