James Robert Causey Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Robert Causey Sr. of Springfield, Georgia, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Clark Causey, Sr. and Evelyn Gladys Wilson Causey; his granddaughter Fallon Kaly Causey; and his brothers, Raymond A. Causey, Herman C. Causey and Roy Clark "Clarkie" Causey, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, James Robert "Little Bobby" Causey (Tammy Ann) of Newington, Shawn Causey (Blair) of Sylvania and Mellissa Kay "Melissa" Causey of Springfield; his stepsons, Joey Myrick, Eddie Myrick, Ricky Myrick and Rusty Rozier; his grandchildren, Ethan James Causey, Dakota Victoria Tucker (Levi), Logan Stone Causey, Zeb Walker Causey, Garrett McCrae Edwards, Kaleb Causey and Kassidy Causey; his great grandchildren, Miah Nicole Tucker, Waylon James Tucker and Audrey Rae Causey; his sister Lillian Gladys Weaver; and his close friend Diego Diaz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, Screven Chapel (202 Ennis St, Sylvania, GA 30467). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Turkey Branch Baptist Church (971 Shawnee Egypt Rd, Springfield, GA 31329). A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Turkey Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (971 Shawnee Egypt Rd, Springfield, GA 31329).
