Wendel H. Wilson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wendel H. Wilson of Springfield, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Rudolph Wilson and Dreta Exley Wilson; his brother Varnie Wilson; and his sister-in-law Patsy Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Burns Wilson; his children, Darnett Coleman (Eddie), Carlett Fulcher (Lee) and Kevin Wilson (Christie); his grandchildren, Lance Coleman (Emily), Taylor Smith (Hunter), Perry Fulcher, Austin Fulcher, Blake Fulcher and Bailee Grace Wilson; his great grandchildren, Will, Parker Coleman and Lander Smith; his siblings, Rachel Wilson (Ellis) and Charles Wilson; and his sister-in-law Priscilla Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel (2460 GA-21, Rincon, GA 31326). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Springfield (1435 GA-119, Springfield, GA 31329).
