She is survived by: her daughters, Tess Darisaw (Maurice) of McDonough and Jacqueline Simpson of McDonough, Georgia.; her siblings, Beau Jack Thomas (Margaret) of Covington, Georgia, Michael Thomas (Wanda) of Senoia, Georgia, Walter Thomas of Wrens, Georgia, Bernard Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia, James Goodson Jr. of Wrens, Georgia, Richard Goodson (Martha), Clayton Goodson, Eddie James Goodson (Martha), Judy Thomas of Far Rockaway, Carolyn Brown of Wrens, Georgia, Eleanor Jackson (Larry) of Wrens, Georgia, Janice Thomas of Wrens, Georgia and Ella Goodson-Smith; her grandchildren, Jamarri Simpson of Decatur, Georgia and Myles Simpson of Decatur, Georgia; her great grandchildren, Princeton Simpson, JaLaya Simpson, Asahd Simpson, Prince McGhee and Josiah Nowell; and her siblings-in-law, Johnny Smith (Jennie), Barbara Ann Thomas, Eloise Smith, Rev. Sharon Walden and Brenda Smith. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other devoted friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Stone Springfield A. M. E. Church (7476 GA-296, Stapleton, GA 30823).
