He was predeceased by : his parents, John Blois Prosser and Mittie Brannen Prosser; his son William Howard Prosser "Bubba"; and his former life partner Anna Bell Dugas Scott. He is survived by : his wife Sylvia Parrish Prosser of Brooklet; his children, Robert Lynn Prosser of Midway, Guy Freeman of Statesboro, Steve Freeman (Maggie) of Wilson, NC, Andy Freeman (India) of Shellmans Bluff and Sebrena Prosser Smith (Robbie) of Metter; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Prosser of Brooklet, Rachel Prosser of Brooklet, Colton Prosser of Brooklet, Emily Freeman of Bremerton, WA, Jessica Applegate of Mechanicsville, PA, Forest Freeman of Greenville, NC, Jordan Freeman of Atlanta, Madison Freeman of Athens, Tabatha Prosser of Metter, Samantha Smith of Metter and Eric Smith of Savannah.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home (502 Miller St Ext, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
