He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Nessmith and Blanche Akins Nessmith. He is survived by: his wife Kay Cooper Nessmith; his daughter Kelly Nessmith Chappell; his son-in-law Dr. Scott Chappell of Augusta; his grandchildren, Mary Brinn Chappell and Vaughan Chappell of Augusta; and his brother-in-law Ray Cooper of Augusta.
