David Watson Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 21, 2024, at the age of 86, David Watson (Statesboro, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Watson and Doug Watson; and his brother-in-law Lee Girardeau. He is survived by: his wife Gail Girardeau Watson; his pet Blake; his siblings-in-law, Dean Girardeau Lydia Aass, Hal Girardeau (Cindy Girardeau) and Ellen Girardeau; and his caregivers, Ruby Clark, Angela Hill and Jessie Roberts. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, caregivers and friends.

All who had the privilege of knowing and loving David knew that his pure love of life was never overshadowed by his Alzheimer's.
