He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey Wilson and Lee Bertha Love Wilson; his grandparents, Eddie "Peter", Bessie Wilson, Levi and Sallie Love; his uncle Woodrow; his aunt Helen McClain Wilson; and his sister Bonnie Wilson Malave.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria Moss Wilson of Statesboro, GA; his son Don E. Wilson, Jr. of Statesboro, GA; his siblings, Ricky Wilson (Sabrina) of Prince George, VA, Sandra Parker (Larry) of Atlanta, GA and Felicia Dunlap (Eric) of Atlanta, GA; and his grandchildren, Michael Jacobs, Tyler Jacobs, Ti'amber Wilson and Dallas Wilson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
