She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyce Chester and Eunice Dickerson Chester; her former husband Donnie Pope; and her siblings, Wade Chester, Jack Chester and Carolyn Lucas.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Hendrix of Statesboro; her son Jeff; her daughter-in-law NeNe Pope of Statesboro; her daughter Jana; her son-in-law Rob Sharp of Statesboro; her grandchildren, J. D. Pope (Monica) of Statesboro, Coley Pope (John Hensley) of Denver, CO, Fischer Sharp of Statesboro and Spencer Sharp of Statesboro; her great grandchildren, Dee Pope and Cooper Pope; her stepgrandchildren, Heather Hendrix, Alan Hendrix and Hannah Beth Hendrix; her sister Joyce Kennedy of Statesboro; her siblings-in-law, Ronnie and Sherry Pope of Statesboro; her caregivers, Chris Swan, Gwen Lanier and Sandra Shaw; Brian, Hilda Hendrix, Mark and Lori Hendrix.
