James Hunter Obituary
STATESBORO, GA: Mr. James Edward Hunter, age 77 passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2017, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Screven County and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Farming.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Minnie Pearl Hunter, Statesboro; 4 daughters, Deborah Ann Hunter, Daisy Lou Hunter, Melissa Hunter and Heather Marie Hunter-Williams (Frederick) all of Statesboro; 2 sons, James Willie Lamar Hunter and Kenny Hunter both of Statesboro; Willie C. Hunter (Irene), Claxton, Lee Watts Hunter (Catherine), Clito, and John Willie Hunter (Pretronia), Statesboro; 4 sisters, Rosa Dean Tuck, Waukegan, IL, Eloise Ford and Louise Anderson (James) North Chicago, IL and Rodie Mae Hunter, Statesboro nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, a grand-son-in-law, nine sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Hunter will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00a.m at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the pastor Rev. Stanley Moore, officiating. Burial will be in Springhead United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sylvania, GA.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday evening from 7-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
