It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Malcolm Higgins (Statesboro, Georgia), born in Corbin, Kentucky, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Higgins and Lillian Higgins (Hart); his brothers, Tommy, Johnny, Larry, David and Bobby Higgins; and his daughter Allison Hart Higgins.
He is survived by: his wife Leslee Brown Higgins of Statesboro, GA; his children, Jennifer (Brice Scott), Lauren (Michael Sack), James "Jimmy" Malcolm Higgins Jr. of Louisville, KY and Jeffrey Thomas Higgins (Kayla Mills) of Savannah, GA; his sister-in-law Gwen Sibley Higgins of Trimble County, KY; and his grandchildren, Hayden James Scott, Sloan Ashley Scott, Riley Anne Sack, Harper Kathryn Sack and Griffin Conner Sack. He is also survived by nieces and nephew.
