It is with sadness that the passing of Jeff Lanier (Statesboro, Georgia) is shared. Jeff, born on September 20, 1962, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Doy Franklin Lanier; his brother Stacy Lanier; his father-in-law Billy Rushing; his brother-in-law Gid Smith; his grandparents, John R., Lucille Lanier, Margaret Rowland and James Roy Miller; and his pet Duke.
He is survived by: his mother Lois Lanier; his wife Janet Rushing Lanier; his children, Kacie Lanier, Taylor Lanier and Cody Lanier; his siblings, Tim Lanier (Sonya) and Vickie Lanier Smith; his aunt Faye; his uncle Ed Szczepanik; his mother-in-law Hilda Rushing; and his siblings-in-law, Deborah R. and Erik Kauber. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Statesboro First Baptist Church (108 N Main St, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
