It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry E. Bird in Statesboro, Georgia, who passed away on November 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry E. Bird to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Horace Bird and Katherine Whaley Bird of Statesboro. He is survived by: his wife Sunshine Bird of Statesboro; his daughters, Christie Bird Williams (David) of Canton and Karen Bird Gore (Jason) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jamie, Dawson, Callie Williams, Brooke, Jacob, Jace and Bristol Gore; and his sisters, Annette Waters and Lannette Edenfield. He is also survived by one aunt; four favorite nieces; two nephews, and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deal Funeral Directors (22757 US-80, Statesboro, GA 30461). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Statesboro Worship (380 Westside Rd, Statesboro, GA 30458).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Fund at Statesboro Worship, P.O. Box 161, Staesboro, Ga. 30459.
