She was predeceased by : her parents, Garnel A. Lanier and Ena Mae DeLoach Lanier; her siblings, Sarah McCorkle, Sherry Thompson and Wilbur Lanier; and her brothers-in-law, Ray McCorkle and Larry Thompson.

She is survived by : her husband William Powell (Pete) of Statesboro; her sister Rose; and her siblings-in-law, John Dye of Metter and Lottie Faye Lanier of Nevils. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bulloch Memorial Gardens (22002 US-80, Statesboro, GA 30458).
