Raymond Louis Thompson Obituary

Raymond Louis Thompson, 54, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Born on November 29, 1971, in Covington, Kentucky, Raymond was the beloved son of the late Robbie Thompson and Rachael Wall Thompson.

Raymond was raised in Statesboro, Georgia, where he attended Statesboro High School and graduated in 1990. From a young age, he showed a strong sense of curiosity and dedication, becoming a Boy Scout and developing skills that would make him a true jack of all trades. He found joy in working outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and staying busy with his hands and heart fully engaged.

Those who knew Raymond knew him as a kind, compassionate, and thoughtful soul. He had a faithful and loving spirit and a way of making others feel seen and valued. He was deeply loved by family and friends and will be remembered for his generosity, quiet strength, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he met.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Robbie Thompson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of six years, Christina Thompson; his loving mother, Rachael Thompson; his sister, Rebecca Thompson; his children, Vincent and Zachary Thompson; along with many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close.

A celebration of Raymond's life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00am at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
