It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rick Hutchison (Statesboro, Georgia), who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Harold Miles Hutchison. He is survived by: his mother Edith Woodward Hutchison; his wife Mary Catherine Hutchison; his daughter Lori Grice (DeWayne); his granddaughter Edie Grace Grice; his son Robert Long (Amanda); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Long, Kaiden Long and Kyler Long; his son Jason Long (Melissa); his granddaughter Olivia Long; his sister Carol Duke (Thomas); and his siblings-in-law, Raymond James (Celeste) and Sarah Reed (Neal).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory (502 Miller St Ext, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Old Fellowship Baptist Church (5526 US-80, Brooklet, GA 30415).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a contribution in Rick's memory to Fixing the Boro or First Baptist Church Statesboro Agape Sunday School Class or their television ministry.
