He was predeceased by : his parents, Maurice Lipsey and Lottie Lipsey; his siblings, Maurice "Mickey" Lipsey, James Lipsey and Barbara Eubanks; and his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Irene Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Myra Smith Lipsey of Statesboro; his children, Jeff Lipsey of Statesboro and Amanda; his son-in-law Justin Dyches of Brooklet; his grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah Dyches; and his brothers-in-law, Bennie Eubanks of Rocky Ford and Ricky Smith of Statesboro.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home - Statesboro (502 Miller St Ext, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Memory Care Unit of Willow Pond, 4344 Country Club Rd, Statesboro, GA 30458, for financial assistance to families that are in need to assist in paying caregivers and sitters.
