We announce the death of Russell L Kent (Statesboro, Georgia), who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 75. Russell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Kent and Stanley Kent; his close friends, Robert and Barbara Fox; and his pet Jethro.
He is survived by: his wife Nicki Kent; his son Brian Kent (Candace); his grandson Hudson Kent; his sisters, Teresa Boone (Rodney) and Cheryle Kent (Sherman Putman); his in-laws, Jim, Deborah and Justin Pollett; and his nephews, Evan Duffy, Mark Boone, Darrin Boone and Brad Duffy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many cousins from his beloved family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Homebuilders Association of Statesboro (1223 Merchants Wy, Statesboro, GA 30458). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Georgia's Fishing Future PAC, Inc., at PO Box 2116, Statesboro, GA 30459, or to the Ogeechee Technical College Foundation, designated for the Welding Program, at 1 Joe Kennedy Blvd., Statesboro, GA 30458.
