Sarah Francis Mauney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 22, 2025, at the age of 90, Sarah Francis Mauney (Statesboro, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sarah Francis may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sarah Francis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Claude Sprague; her husband Yates Mauney; her son Yates Mauney, Jr.; her friend David Morris; and her siblings, Mattox Purvis, Kate Purvis Martin and Harley Edward Purvis.
She is survived by: her great-niece Kate Martin Shiver; and her sons, Danny and Charles Mauney. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
