Virginia H. Baird Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Carroll Belton Baird, Sr.; her sons, Carroll Belton Baird, Jr. (Donna Clark Baird) and Gary Spence Baird; her parents, Solomon Hunnicutt and Bessie Flake Hunnicutt; and her siblings, Lindsay Hunnicutt, Alex Hunnicutt and Myra Hunnicutt Hendrix.
She is survived by: her siblings, Sara Evans of Iron City and Raymond Hunnicutt of Iron City; her children, Lee Sanford Baird (Deborah) of Eatonton, Marcia Baird of Eatonton and Christy Baird Powell; and her children-in-law, Eddie of Metter, Nancy G. Baird of Twin City and Sue A. Baird of Twin City. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great- great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory (502 Miller St Ext, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 4700 Poplar Springs Church Road, Portal, Georgia 30450 or to a local hospice agency of the donor's choice.
