It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Waynard Scott (Statesboro, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Lee Scott and Blanch Hendrix; and his son Russell Lee Scott (Pat Anderson). He is survived by : his stepdaughter Dr. Karen Beasley Grabenstein (Fred) of Statesboro; his grandson Kaide Grabenstein of Statesboro; his nephew Jason Townsend (Danielle) of Guyton; his siblings, Sandra Johnson of Statesboro and Raymond Scott (Bobbi) of Stockbridge; his niece Cindy Strickland-Weber of Kingsland; his nephew Waylon Johnson; his friend Elise Gray of Wilmington Island; his significant other Belle; his friend Tump Hendrix of Baygall; and also, Sherri, Danny Litchfield (family: Joyce, Nick Studier), Cassie and Jeremy Batayias.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scotty's memory can be made to the Baygall Sporting Clays organization.
