He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Cotton" Earl Spencer and Betty Jean Bloome Spencer; his wife Mary Spencer; his daughter Penny Michelle Spencer; and his nephew Randall Wesley Spencer.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine Spencer Weaver (Monzel) of Bethlehem, GA, Karen Danielle Spencer of Dahlonega, GA and Daniel Nathan Spencer of Statham, GA.; his grandchildren, Madison Grace and Abigail Londyn Weaver; his brother Jeffrey Alan Spencer; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley Elizabeth Spencer, Emily Colleen Spencer, Geoffrey Clayton Spencer and Greyson Tyler Spencer.
