A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken May officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Mrs. Cox loved taking care of her friends and family and made sure that she always had room at her table and in her home for everyone. She was a homebody and enjoyed puzzles and building onto her house. Billie also liked craft shows, art galleries, bird watching and flower gardening, especially Orchids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Grant Cox; daughter, Wanda McPherson; and brother, Paul Edward Spencer. Survivors include her children, Angela McPherson, Stacey Rice (Larry), Jessie McPherson (Vicky), John McPherson (Crystal), Clifford Cox (Tiffany), Vicky Cox, JoAnn Camp and Larry Cox, Jr.; sisters, Frances Bassett (Tommy), Becky Hines (David) and Sharon Carson; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
