He is survived by: his granddaughter Sherrie Mechell Carpenter (Johnny); his stepdaughter Deborah Rhindress; his great grandchildren, Mallory Strawn, Emily Sue Carpenter and Ashley Carpenter; and his niece Terri Roeder. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, along with other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel (376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, GA 30281). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
