He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Turner Carpenter; his mother Herma Carpenter Harding; and his siblings, Larry Dawley and Mary Jane Dawley Cutler. He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Carpenter, Patricia Webb (Lewis) and Sherry Mitchell (Mitch); his grandchildren, Brandon Carpenter, Dakota Ferguson (Brittany), Shelby Ferguson, Cassidy Webb, Dustin Webb, Alex Pilgrim (Matt) and Blake Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon Jinks, Eli Ferguson and Theo Ferguson.
