She was predeceased by: her siblings, Barbara Smith, Johnny Ragsdale and Terry Ragsdale; her son Anthony Brooks; and her grandsons, Howard Brooks III and Thomas Brooks.

She is survived by: her siblings, Jerry Ragsdale, Martha Jean Ragsdale and Virginia Ragsdale; and her children, Nora Jean Bohon (Scott Bohon), Howard Brooks Jr. and Charles Brooks.
