It is with sadness that the passing of Alice Bates Quigg of Stone Mountain, Georgia is shared. Alice, born on April 19, 1945 in Asheville, North Carolina, passed away on August 25, 2026. Alice will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Eugene Bates and Mary Landers Bates; and her son Marvin Lee "Skipper" Quigg. She is survived by: her children, Annette Hixson (Joshua) and Charles Edward "Skeeter" Quigg; her sister Patricia Bates Bell; her grandchildren, Jesse Hixson, Jenna Brian (Caleb) and Nikki Quigg Chaffin (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Everly and Emmett Brian. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
