He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schumacher and Doris Schumacher; and his siblings, Richard Schumacher and Ginny Schumacher. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Thomas (Anthony) of Clover, SC; his sister Loretta Keys (Peter) of Lowville, NY; his grandchildren, Christopher and Lucy Thomas; and his sibling's children, Dianna Cooper (Rob), Vanessa Keys, Ryan Schumacher (Celise) and Casey Schumacher. He is also survived by two great nieces and one great nephew.
