He is survived by: his wife Judith Sims Chastain; his children, Chip Chastain of Dallas, GA and Cindy Chastain Allen; his son-in-law Jimmy Allen of Monroe, GA; his son Carl Chastain of Snellville, GA; his stepchildren, Cindy, Charlie Carden of Braselton, GA, Amelia and Robbie Edwards of Conyers, GA; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Chastain Herring (Andrew), Sydney Chastain Brinckmann (Austin), Kyle Allen and Christopher Allen; and his great grandchildren, Addison Brinckmann and Cohen Herring. He is also survived by many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
