He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne Williams Sikes; his parents, Katie Fortner Sikes and Ernest Sikes, Sr.; his sister Bobbie Sikes Connell; and his son-in-law Gordon Dickerson.
He is survived by: his daughter Micki Sikes Dickerson; his grandchildren, Abigail Dianne Wahl (Caleb), Hunter Kerns (Madison) and Katie Dale Hill (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Jenni Anne, Caroline Wahl, Anna Beth, Frannie Mae Hill and Kennedy Ann Kerns; his siblings, Ernest Sikes, Jr. (Linda), David Sikes (Jennie) and Jean Roberts; and his niece Diane Austin Leahy Sikes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crowell Brothers Funeral Home - Peachtree Corners Chapel (5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
