As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Grady Edward may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Washington Gouge of Stone Mountain and Annie Beatrice Cowan Gouge of McDonough, Georgia.; and his sisters, Betty Gouge Hicks and Eloise Gouge Maples. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Whitley Gouge; his sister DeAnn Gouge Nunnally of Lawrenceville; his sons, Glenn Edward Gouge (Jodie Lea Cramer Gouge) and David Preston Gouge (Kimberly Ann Martin Gouge); and his grandson Preston Taylor Gouge. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel (1040 Main St, Stone Mountain, GA 30083). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
