He is survived by: his wife Lillian Middlebrooks Thomas of Atlanta; his children, Johnny Thomas Jr. and Dr. Janella Burse (Luther) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Josef Thrash III (Demirah), Andrews Air, Jessica Angle (Matthew) of Quinton, Luther Burse III of Atlanta, Veronica Burse of Atlanta and Victoria Burse of Atlanta; his great grandchild Sophia Angle of Quinton, Virginia; and his siblings, Charles Thomas of Atlanta and Ernie Rogers of Atlanta.
