He is survived by: his grandchildren, Thomas Clark Painter Sr. and Agnes Brown; his wife Patricia Sedlmayr Painter; his children, Kelly Carlton Painter and Thomas Painter III; and his sisters, Marion MacIntosh of Irwin and Bonnie Taylor of Savannah.
