He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave William Garrett and Mary Stover Garrett; his wife Joan Starnes Garrett; his children, Carol Garrett, Debbie Sanders, Kimberly Clayton, Charles Garrett Jr. and David Garrett; and his siblings, Ralph Garrett and Ruth Loftis.
He is survived by: his close friend Jannie Everett of Blairsville; his sisters, Gwenda Garrett Davis of Suches and Bobbie Pugh of Winston Salem, NC.; and his grandchildren, Nick Clayton, Holly (Tyler Mogan) and Tracy Sanders of Stuart, FL..
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Zion Baptist Church (10 Zion Rd, Suches, GA 30572).
Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Mr. Garrett's memory.
